According to the Indie, insurance or no, Sofa workshop has gone to sleep, nobody knows if they will ever return !
One wonders why savings weren't made before it all became too much to handle.

New Article
I've got a new article published at term life insurance - check it out. It talks about the differences between term life insurance and whole life insurance. Many people don't realise that there is a difference (or what policy choices you can make).

Furniture stores face tough time in hard times
So says the Guardian :
"Furniture retailers Sofa Workshop and Land of Leather are understood to be fighting for survival.
Sofa Workshop filed a notice of intention to appoint an administrator to the companies court late last year. Quoted rival Land of Leather is also in a precarious position as its future hinges on generating sufficient cash from its January sale, which ends next week. Industry sources claim trading has been difficult."
I've just been shopping for furniture and you start to say, hold on, do I really need to buy these chairs right now? Or those chest of drawers? Why don't I just get them on the internet ... ?!

Interest rates fall again
Down to 1.5% in the UK, nobody is getting much return for their money any more.
Investments are still hard to place to get a solid return - and real estate property prices are not faring much better.
Having said that, there should be increasingly available low interest rate loan deals for home buyers.
